So, I got my first glimpse of an aurora, but unfortunately, it wasn't visible from the naked eye. This photograph was a total accident. I was actually shooting the base of Kerlingarfjöll at night, in the middle of a rain storm, when I saw that there was a green, wavy glow in the photo. Talk about random luck.

Other than this photo; fog, rain, and 40-60 mph winds made this day pretty much a wash photography-wise.

And yes, we were indeed listening to a bunch of Damien Rice while we treked towards Vik (to which we never actually made it).
